 It took a height time of around two years to complete the second phase with an amount of Rs.110, 000, 000 and was offered to the accessible on May 28, 2005. The first phase of this ropeway was complete in 1998 which connects Gulmarg to Kongdoori.

By Rail- Jammu railway head the nearest railway head to Gulmarg and is connected to the numerous states of India. 
By Air- Sringar airport is the closest to the Gulmarg which is around 54 km 
By Road- Buses are available from Srinagar, Batmaloo bus stand and runs to Tangmarg, located at a close distance from Gulmarg. Regular bus and taxi service are available from Tangmarg.
